If you’re looking for a delicious smoothie recipe to add to your collection, you need this Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie recipe. It’s full of lots of good-for-you stuff and keeps you full!
Have you all fallen off the eating healthier this year bandwagon? Were you ever on it? It seems to last about a month before everyone is over it. If you are a totally healthy eater, good for you and also, what are you doing on my blog? Just kidding. I only say that because if you look at my home page, you will see that there aren’t a lot of healthy recipes here. I am a moderation kind of girl. I will always eat sugar. Just not the whole batch of cookies.Â
I do love to throw healthy stuff into my food whenever I can. Take this smoothie for example. I love to add chia seeds, ground flax and today, oats. It’s just so good for you! All of it. Even the oats. I found some facts that prove it:
Ground Flaxseed: Rich source of micronutrients, dietary fiber, manganese, vitamin B1, and the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid, also known as ALA or omega-3.
Chia Seeds: Loaded with protein, fiber and Omega-3 fatty acids and various micronutrients. They are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet and I use them every chance I get!
Oats: Rich in a specific type of fiber called beta-glucan. This particular type of fiber is known to help lower levels of bad cholesterol.
- 1 cup milk of choice
- ¼ cup oats
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- 1 tsp. ground flax
- 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
- 6 oz vanilla greek yogurt
- ice cubes
- Place everything into your blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Enjoy!

Just tried this recipe this morning (minus the flax only because I didn’t have any in my pantry) and LOVED it! It made more than I expected so I poured myself a glass and saved the rest for a treat later on this afternoon or for this evening. This will definitely be a staple in my morning quick breakfast routine! Thank you so much for sharing!
